1、基本需要

综合英语是五邑大学外国语学院招收教育学/学科教学/英语专业类别硕士 学位硕士研究生自命题考试考哪几科。

本科目主要考查考生是不是系统学会英语入门知识、基础理论和基本技能, 并 能运用有关常识、理论和技能剖析、解决英语运用过程中的实质问题。

2、内容范围

1.写作材料。涉及体裁涵盖便条、信函、通用公文、材料作文和议论文、记 述文、说明文等常用文体写作，内容切题,概括全方位,结构严谨,理据充分,条理清 楚,语言通顺,表达得体。

2.阅读材料。涉及一般英美报刊杂志上的社论和书评与一般历史传记及文 学作品，理解阅读材料的主旨大意并可以进行剖析、判断和推理，可以分辨细节、 把握思想看法、语篇结构、语言特征、修辞手法、隐含意义等方面。在阅读中根 据需要自觉调整阅读速度和阅读方法。

3.语言常识。涉及系统的英语语法与在基本的社交和学术情境中常用英语 词语和短语搭配。

4.翻译材料。涉及需要运用中文翻译英文及英文翻译中文理论与方法，对从报刊杂志或文 学作品上抽取的汉语或英语材料进行翻译。文本涵盖政治、经济、文化、社会、 文学、历史、语言、新闻等内容。译文需要忠实原意、语句通顺。

3、题型结构

试题满分共 150 分，主要题型结构如下：

1.英语写作大、小作文各 1 题;大作文涵盖材料作文和议论文、 记述文、说明文等常用文体写作，字数 400-600 词，共 35 分;小作文涵盖 便条、信函、通用公文等写作，字数 150-200 词，共 15 分。

If you look around at the men and women whom you can call happy, you will see that they all have certain things in common. The most important of these things is an activity which at most gradually builds up something that you are glad to see coming into existence. Women who take an instinctive pleasure in their children can get this kind of satisfaction out of bringing up a family. Artists and authors and men of science get happiness in this way if their own work seems good to them. But there are many humbler forms of the same kind of pleasure.
